6th Grade Tech

Welcome to the 6th Grade Technology Course webpage!  My name is Ann Durst and I have been an educator within the Richmond Community School District for the past 26 years.  This is my first year teaching technology at the middle school and I am very excited to enhance  your child's learning through technology. On this site, I will keep you informed of what we are learning and about current projects in the classroom.  I will not be assigning any traditional "homework," but students may work on any skill or project that we are working in the classroom at anytime.

Mission & Vision

The mission of 6th grade technology is to engage students in a curriculum that prepares them for the 21st Century.  I have participated in workshops and have been trained in 21Things4Students, which is a program provided for technology teachers to incorporate 21st Century  technology into the classroom.

Extended Learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math

There are many  opportunities to extend learning in science, technology, engineering, art, and math.  Macomb Community College offers great classes and workshops for students in these areas.  Our school district has robotics programs in grades 2-12 that meet after school.  If interesed in one of these programs, please contact me.
